How to peel hazelnuts

It’s effortless to peel hazelnuts if you know what to do!

All you need is water, bicarbonate (baking soda, and hazelnuts, of course.

There are many times when you need to peel hazelnuts – this tip will make it incredibly easy.

Ingredients:
2 liters of water
1 tablespoon bicarbonate
Hazelnuts

The amount of water depends on how many hazelnuts you are going to peel. Let the water boil in a large saucepan.

Add the bicarbonate and hazelnuts. Let it boil for 3 minutes.

Strain the nuts and rinse with cold water; rub between your hands, and the skin disappears. Or you can put the nuts in a kitchen towel and fold over the towel and rub off the shell using the towel.

Place the nuts on a tray, let them dry at room temperature 24 hours before roasting them at 347 ° (F) for 10 minutes.

Another tip that comes with this blog post is that when you have something on the stove boiling over – put a wooden spoon over the saucepan, and it will sink by itself! It works every single time.

Always keep your nut either in the freezer or the refrigerator.

Enjoy!
